All year levels participate in interschool or recreational sporting activities as part of their weekly timetable. It is hoped that students will gain physical, emotional and social benefits through participation in sport. Students are expected to wear their correct sports uniforms for their chosen activities. Weekly sports selected by students (interschool or recreational) will be available for parents to view on their student's timetable and online via Q Parents.
|Sports Days|| Tuesday afternoons||Thursday afternoons||Wednesday afternoons, plus Gala Day competitions|
Alexandra Hills SHS has representative teams that compete against other schools in Bayside District and Metropolitan East sport. This can involve weekly bus travel to neighbouring schools or off-campus sporting facilities. The interschool sports are: basketball, football (soccer), netball, rugby league, touch football and volleyball.
Students who are not involved in interschool sports participate in range of recreational sport or activities. The school offers some activities at venues in the community and utilises the expertise of a number of outside instructors. Some of these activities, including squash, gym and ten-pin bowling involve students going off-campus under the supervision of teachers.
