Microsoft 365
Students can download and install Microsoft 365 (previously called “Office") free of charge by signing in with their school email (username@eq.edu.au) and password. This includes licences for up to 5 devices and can be installed on your home computer. Apple laptop and iPad users must use Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, instead of Apple Pages, Numbers and Keynote.

For iPads (Years 7-8 only), download from the App Store and sign in with your school email address.

Internet Browser
Alexandra Hills SHS recommends two browsers for students. Some websites may display differently depending on what browser is used.
Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) suite
Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) suite of apps for students includes industry standard apps such as Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro.
Students studying a subject that requires Adobe CC will have their licence activated for the year for free.
AutoCAD Student Edition
Required for senior subjects – Design; Industrial Technology Skills. Free download at: AutoCAD Education Download
Other applications
VLC media player - VLC is a free, small, open source media player that's available for free on every platform. Download a copy from their website.
Adobe Acrobat Reader - Acrobat Reader is a free program that can be downloaded from the Adobe website. This supports PDF documents.
Anti-virus software - Devices running the latest version of Windows 10 have protection built in through the Windows Defender app.
