The Alexandra Hills State High School International Student Program has been providing a high quality Homestay service to long and short term International Students since 2005. During this time amazing families from the local community have shared their homes with students from all over the world and have gained an enriching cultural experience. Many International students have formed such a close bond with their hosts that they continue to maintain contact with them long after they have returned home.
Our students are accommodated in carefully selected families that live within our local community and are given the opportunity to experience the real-life Australian lifestyle. Homestay gives students the best opportunity to practice their English skills while in a safe and supportive environment.
The Alexandra Hills State High School
Homestay Coordinator works closely with Host Families and students ensuring that the experience is safe, comfortable, enriching and rewarding for all involved. All International Students in the Homestay Program must abide by strict guidelines as well as respecting the values and household rules of their host family. Families must also abide by strict guidelines.
Our school provides a
Homestay program to suit a variety of needs and great care is taken to match student requirements/interests with their homestay family. The more information a student can provide will help towards finding the right family for them.
