All students who wish to represent Metropolitan East Region in sport are required to trial and make the Bayside District team.
Trials will be advertised on Daily Student Notices. A list of sports and trial dates can be found on the Metropolitan East website:

Students who successfully compete at the inter-house carnivals are invited to participate at the district level in swimming, cross country and athletics.
District (Bayside) Trials:
To nominate to attend a District (Bayside) Trial, students must follow the below steps:
- Trials will be advertised on Daily Student Notices (during Form class and on Student SharePoint)
- Complete the Bayside District Sport Trial Form (digital copy on this page or collect a copy from the HPE Staffroom at the Hall)
- Return the completed Trial Form to the HPE Staffroom by the date on student notices (no later than 7 days before the trial date)
- The school will organise the Principal Consent form for the trialing students and send the individual Trial Forms to the trial convener
Students are told if they have been selected for the team at the trial. They will receive Regional (Met East) forms and any other important information from the trial convener at that time.
Regional (Metropolitan East) Trials (Individual nominations):
To submit an individual nomination for a Regional (Met East) Trial - where there is no District Trial held beforehand:
Trials will be advertised on Daily Student Notices (during Form class and on Student SharePoint)
Complete the Bayside District Sport Trial Form (digital copy on this page or collect a copy from the HPE Staffroom at the Hall)
Return the completed Trial Form to the HPE Staffroom by the date on student notices or ASAP
The school will organise the Principal Consent form for the trialing students and send the individual Trial Forms to the trial convener
WAIT for a confirmation / invitation email to attend Trial from the Convener – then PAY Regional Trial Levy online via the Met East Sport website. https://rssshop.education.qld.gov.au/met-east
If payment is made after due date, you will need to take a receipt number to the trial as proof of payment
Please note that sending the nomination form does not guarantee the student will be selected to attend the Regional trials. As these are regional trials, nominees are required to have significant experience, particularly in representative teams.
