Year 7 & 10 Immunisations

​​​​​​​​​​​​This year all Year 7 students are eligible to receive free vaccinations as part of Queensland Health’s annual School Based Vaccination Program.

Students are being offered vaccination to protect against:

  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
  • Chickenpox
  • Human Papillomavirus

Year 10 students will be offered Meningococcal (MenACWY) vaccine in March can be caught up in October if away.​

The vaccinations will be conducted by a team of registered nurses specially trained in immunisation. 

A consent form for each vaccine offered has been given to your child to bring home.  Please note that no child will be vaccinated without parental consent.  Please read the information carefully, sign the consent form irrespective of whether you wish your child to be vaccinated or not and return the consent form to the school as soon as possible.

Vaccinations are scheduled in 2023 for:

Phase One -  Wednesday 29 March – 9.00 am – 1.00 am 

Phase Two –  Friday 6 October  - 9.00 am – 11.00 am  ​(Year 7 only unless Year 10 Needs catch up)​​

Parents are encouraged to ensure their children have breakfast on the morning of vaccination.

Redlands schools students will be able to catch up on this vaccination​ if they missed it at school:

Capalaba Place (Library) on:​

 Thursday 25 May - 3.30pm - 5.30pm 

 Thursday 9 November - 3.30pm - 5.30pm
