​Ensemble Participation Levy and School Instrument hire fees

Students involved in any of the All Music Program ensembles are required to pay a participation levy.  This levy helps cover the cost of entry to competitions and festivals, bus fares, accompanists, guest tutors, workshops etc. 

Students will be asked to contribute the following at the commencement of the school year:

Participation Levy -  (regardless how many groups the student participates in) 

= $65.00

For students who access a school instrument the following fee also applies:

Instrument Hire - if your child uses a school instrument (this is used to maintain the Instrument through a reputable repairer)

= $100.00 annually – must be paid before the instrument can be issued.

As is the case with the School’s textbook and Hire Scheme the school, through the Principal, can negotiate a payment plan. Please contact the office to organise this if required.

Music Uniform

Students playing in all ensembles will be required wear the music uniform for all performances. Some items are available for purchase through the uniform shop during their normal opening hours, other items are available from the Performing Arts Staffroom.

The school rules that apply to the school day uniform also apply to the instrumental uniform.

Uniform Requirements and Costs- each student must have the following: 

All Ensembles:

Boys and Girls - black long dress pants that meet the following requirements

  • plain, no stripes, patterns, textures, shiny fabrics etc
  • no hipsters
  • no jeans, leggings, tights etc.
  • they should be a relaxed fit to allow shirts to be easily tucked in

Boys and girls wear black socks and school shoes.

Girls to have hair neatly tied back with a black ribbon or scrunchie

Boys to wear a black belt.

Boys and Girls – black shirt – must be must be paid for at the Payments window and collected from the Performing Arts Block, cost $35.

Other items (ties etc.) will be issued to students by the ensemble director and must be returned as per his/her instructions.

In addition to the basic uniform students also wear ties, hats etc. according to the ensembles they are part of.  These items are the property of the school and are issued to students just prior to each performance.  They must be returned at the end of the performance.  They are not to be taken home unless instructed to by an ensemble director.

If an item is lost the cost to replace it is $20.
